Slope Home Shop Assistant

We are looking for a welcoming, enthusiastic person to join our small team as a Shop Assistant. Duties include assisting customers, completing in-store transactions, and ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise. No prior retail experience is required — we will provide training for all job responsibilities. The ideal candidate has an interest in home goods, design, and craftsmanship, loves working with people, and is ready to contribute to a collaborative environment. The responsibilities below outline the purview of this position, but the Shop Assistant should be ready to take on day-to-day tasks and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide assistance as needed
  • Record customer feedback & share with the team
  • Use Shopify POS to complete customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Wrap gifts and fragile purchases as needed
  • Make note of low stock items & share with the team
  • Assist with daily store operations, including inventory replenishment, shipping orders, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment
  • Perform key-holder responsibilities, opening and closing the shop as required

Compensation:

$25/hour

Hours:

2-3 days a week during our open hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm) with a strong preference for candidates with weekend availability. Additional hours are available, especially during the fall and winter months.
